At the end of 2022, real estate in Limassol took the lead in popularity! So, only in November there were 465 transactions. Real estate in Paphos became the second most popular - 317 transactions in November.
At the same time, sales in Nicosia fell (242 transactions), while in Larnaca and Famagusta they slowed down significantly (196 and 73 transactions respectively).
It is important to note that the main buyers of real estate in Cyprus are foreigners. Sales to EU citizens rose by 47%, while Cypriots themselves began to buy property 6% less than last year.
The demand for real estate in Limassol is caused, among other things, by the popularity of the permanent residence program for investment (Limassol is the business center of Cyprus). To become residents of the country, investors buy real estate worth from 300,000 €.
