A second life for the ancient buildings of Italy

The Italian government continues to attract private capital to maintain and reconstruct old buildings such as, castles, palaces, monasteries, and mansions. In general, we are talking about those houses whose historical value is high but  are in remote locations.

The government has decided that it is necessary to rent out such objects with long-term contracts. The list of objects includes 103 buildings that will be offered to tenants, confirming availability of the necessary resources to modernise them for a period of between 6-50 years.

At the end of last month 40 buildings became available to lease, and in October these will be open to viewings. Of course, foreign investors can also rent them.
