The heads of the USA, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the EU have proposed an alternative to the Chinese “Silk Road”. The leaders of the US, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the EU concluded a major agreement on railways and ports on the sidelines of the G20.
There will be a railway connection between the UAE and Europe
The corridor will stretch across the Arabian Sea from India to the United Arab Emirates, then cross Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel to connect with Europe. The project will also include a new submarine cable and energy transport infrastructure. This will have many positive consequences - from increasing the pace of trade to the influx of investment into the Emirates.
