The best investment programs for obtaining a residence permit and citizenship
Henley & Partners has published its annual rankings of investment programs for obtaining residence permits and citizenship. European countries continue to lead the way: Malta has maintained the first position among investment citizenship programs for the tenth year in a row, and Greece has become the leader in the investment residence category for the first time.
The rankings analyze 10 key factors, including the country's reputation, quality of life, visa-free access, application processing times, compliance with legislation and investment obligations.
For residence permit programs, residency requirements, flexibility in changing residence and the need for physical presence are additionally taken into account.
For citizenship programs, the tax burden, total costs, time to citizenship and requirements for its registration are assessed.
