Kindergartens
Kindergarten in Spain is not mandatory for children. Spain also has both public and private kindergartens.
Pre-school education in Spain consists of two stages:
- Kindergarten (Escuela Infantil), which corresponds to the nursery. It can be used by children up to 3 years old
- Preparatory Kindergarten (Aula Infantil en colegio de primaria), attended by children between the ages of 3 and 6
One of the important differences between kindergartens in Spain is that many of them belong to and are subdivisions of specific schools or colleges.
After graduating from pre-kindergarten, the child goes to study at the same school to which the kindergarten belongs. Most often this applies to private kindergartens. Such an education system provides the child with a pre-reserved place in college and allows him to become familiar with the educational process and better adapt to it.
